Karen Louise
Karen Louise is an artist and educator working in the Southeast United States. Karen began her artistic practice as painter and through a love of alternative photographic processes gravitated to photography as a method of documentation and narrative story telling. Karen implements photo based practices in series form to explore themes of place and the self in relation to architecture and the natural environment. She still has a love for pigments and the studio process which she applies through continued mixed media and collage work as well as teaching darkroom film photography and studio courses in drawing and painting.
